LPC Supervision in Centreville, VA
Supervision for School Counselors Ready to Become Licensed Therapists (LPC) in Virginia

You Already Have the Skills. You Just Need Someone Who Recognizes Them.
If you are a school counselor in Virginia who wants to become an LPC, we provide supervision, clinical experience, and a clear path forward. You already have the skills. You just need a supervisor who recognizes them.
You want to do therapy, not just school counseling. You know you have the skills, but your current supervisor does not understand the school setting, and the path to your LPC feels harder than it should be. What you need is a board-approved supervisor who was a school counselor herself, a clinical site where you can see real clients, and supervision that translates what you already know into the clinical framework your residency requires. That is exactly what Creative Connections offers.

FAQ
Can my school counseling hours count toward my LPC residency?
Yes. I supervise school-based hours because I understand what those hours involve. A lot of outside supervisors will not accept them or do not know how to contextualize them. I do, because I have done the same work.
I already have a supervisor and it is not a good fit. Can I switch?
You can. It happens a lot. Residents come to me after working with someone who does not understand the school setting. We talk about where you are in the process and make the transition as smooth as possible.
Do I have to see clients at your practice or can I just come for supervision?
Either works. Some residents do supervision only and use their school hours for the residency. Others also see clients through Creative Connections for additional clinical experience. We figure out what makes sense for where you are.
How long does the whole process take?
The residency is typically four years. You are with me for the full thing. We build your skills over time, at a pace that works alongside your school career. This is not a sprint. It is a professional development relationship.
