Alyson

Hi, I am Alyson and have worked with children/adolescents in clinical and school settings for over 23 years. I have a B.S. in Psychology from Virginia Tech and a M.A. in Counseling from West Virginia University.

As a Resident in Counseling, I believe that growth often begins in life's most challenging moments. My goal is to provide a supportive, compassionate space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate change. I use an integrative approach that draws from humanistic, client-centered, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), behavioral, holistic, and mindfulness-based therapies, tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs.

I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults to build practical coping skills, strengthen emotional well-being, and foster lasting personal growth. Whether you're navigating anxiety, life transitions, behavioral concerns, or relationship challenges, I am committed to helping you develop the insight and tools needed to move forward with confidence and resilience.
