Lisa Moore
I am a professional school counselor with a background in academic, career, and mental health counseling, and a graduate of the College of William & Mary. I have always worked in education and career development, and I am deeply passionate about guiding individuals as they discover and create their own path. I believe that a strong, trusting relationship is the foundation for meaningful growth, and I prioritize connection as the most important part of the counseling process. My approach is rooted in existential and person-centered principles, supporting clients as they explore who they are, what matters most to them, and how they want to show up in their lives. I work to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where adolescents feel heard and understood, while also helping them build insight, confidence, and practical skills to navigate challenges.
I partner closely with families, recognizing the important role parents play in supporting their child’s development and well-being. As a military spouse and parent of three, I understand firsthand the complexities of growing up, transitions, and family dynamics. Outside of counseling, I enjoy practicing yoga, attending Broadway shows, and volunteering with Scouting America. I’m also a dedicated coffee enthusiast—and while I can’t promise it’s part of the counseling process, I do believe a good cup of coffee and a genuine conversation can go a long way.
