Kasandra Rodas
Hi there! I’m Kasandra Rodas, M.Ed., a licensed school counselor currently working with high school students in Loudoun County, and I am just a few months away from becoming a fully licensed clinical therapist. My passion for supporting young people began at Penn State (WE ARE!), where I studied Human Development and Family Studies with a double minor in Psychology and Child Maltreatment and Advocacy Studies. I then went on to earn my Master’s in Education at George Washington University. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with children, teens, and young adults aged 5 to 25 from all diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate the unique challenges of growing up and life transitions.
I strive to create a nurturing, compassionate, and LGBTQ+ friendly environment where clients can show up exactly as they are. I believe true healing starts with an authentic connection, which is why I combine deep listening with practical, evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused strategies. I also love drawing from elements of art therapy to bring creativity into our sessions. Whether you or your child are dealing with school stress, big life transitions, or everyday anxieties, I look forward to creating a safe and fun environment where we can work through all of life's ups and downs together!
